The journey of our fruit starts with our trusted South African producers and their teams, who grow quality fruit with care and dedication. The majority of our producers’ businesses are family owned and managed.

Fruit is picked, sorted and inspected
Fruit is harvested according to fruit seasons and quality controllers inspect the fruit to ensure it meets all quality and regulatory standards.

Fruit is packed and cooled
The fruit is carefully packed, cooled, and stored, including for steri-markets. All the pack houses and cold storage facilities used are accredited by HACCP and BRC.

Fruitworks takes ownership of the fruit
Our marketers negotiate and purchase fruit from producers on a fixed price basis. Our marketers match the fruit procured with our customer’s requirements and specifications.

Fruit is transported to its destination
We use accredited partners to assist with the transportation of the fruit via land, sea, and air. We ship from all major ports in South Africa and use professional freight forwarders to ensure accurate and timely documentation. Our logistics team expertly manages the collaborative effort between many individuals across the journey.

Customers take delivery of fruit
We track all the containers in-house to ensure predictable delivery dates. The journey of the fruit ends with the marketer confirming that the customer is satisfied with the quality of the fruit upon delivery at our customer’s port of choice.
